Jamaica
Jamaica is a fan favorite among cruisers. For cruisers the three most popular ports in Jamaica are Montego Bay, Falmouth and Ocho Rios. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean and it can take a while to get around so you need to pick your excursions carefully. Traffic can be extremely difficult.
Charlene’s 7 for Jamaica
- If you can be there for the evening here are a couple of options: Luminous Lagoon (Falmouth) for a spectacular bioluminescence light show in the water or Rose Hall (Montego Bay) for some ghost hunting. according to legend the spirt of Annie Palmer or possibly Rosa Palmer haunts the grounds.
- Falls: Duns Falls or Blue Hole. Duns Falls is more famous, but we really enjoyed Blue Hole more to be honest. Be sure to bring tip money because these guys work for tips.

- Ocho Rios Bay/Turtle Beach – Ocho Rios area
- James Bond Beach (Dr No was filled in that area)- Ocho Rios area
- Pleasure Cove Beach (More secluded)- Ocho Rios area
- Doctor’s Cave Beach, which is near the ‘Hip Strip’ with lots of services food, bars, snorkeling and other water sports- Montego Bay area
- Negril Seven Mile Beach
- Food
- Scotchies
- Jerk Chicken
- Ackee and Saltfish
- Beef patties
- Martha Brae River guided tour on a bamboo raft, Great for Instagram pictures and to get some history of Jamaica from your guide
- Zip lining in the canopy of the Jamaican mountains
- Bob Marley Museum of course.
