Charlene’s 7 for Bermuda

1. If you want to get around you will need a scooter or an electric car. I saw a lot of people taking the bus. Stay on the left because it is a British territory.
2.  Purchase your rum before noon so it can be delivered to the ship or you will pay full price. Be sure to have the local cocktail called a Bermuda Rum Swizzle.
3. St. George we did have lunch there but I would have liked to spend more time in this adorable village. We did experience some sticker shock with the menu prices.
4. Two Light house: Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and St David Lighthouse.
5. Horseshoe bay and Jobson’s Cove just under a mile apart – DO NOT take the sand, you can purchase some from many places. That rosy shade results from a blend of crushed coral, coral and calcium carbonate.
6. Royal Naval Dockyard very nice and buildings still being used for shops, restaurants and homes.
7. Glass beach is a beach on the West End, Black Bay Beach and Park is made up of 3 tiny coves – DO NOT take this glass, you can purchase jewelry and art work with glass

Things that are on my bucket list for next time:

• Whale watching during the Springtime, between March and April
• Crystal Cave and the Fantasy Cave can be found in  Hamilton Parish
• Tobacco Bay Beach
• All the water sports like: jet skiing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, flyboarding
• With 181 islands making up Bermuda, You can have someone take you to a small island for the day

In general Bermuda felt very safe and was the cleanest island that I have visited and probably one of the most expensive.
